Happy November, Eagles! Hang in there! Only a couple more days until Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for this year? I am thankful for BC Men’s Hockey being ranked #1 by USA Hockey/The Rink Live Polls. Go Eagles! 🦅
From a platform to connect musicians and venues to a network of vacation properties, we’re highlighting another month in BC tech & entrepreneurship.
The Eagle Eye Newsletter has been passed down to the SSC Venture Studio. Thank you Alex Park for giving us this opportunity in connecting the BC tech & entrepreneurship communities!
What is SSC Venture Studio?
The SSC Venture Studio is the student arm of SSC Venture Partners, an alumni-run venture fund dedicated to supporting Boston College entrepreneurs. The Studio’s main objective is to source, develop, and work closely with passionate BC student founders from ideation to seed capital. If you have any questions or are interested in working with us, please reach out at studio@sscventurepartners.com
Featured Startups
🚌 Student Startup: Musync
Musync is the place where artists, venues, and talent finders form connections, build exposure, and realize potential. The Musync app is designed to streamline the process with which musicians connect with venues and other talent finders. As industry heavily relies on luck or word-of-mouth for recruitment, their goal is to promote exposure and provide an avenue for artists to enter into a rather intimidating industry.

🎓 Alumni Startup: Dryfter
Dryfter is a network of vacation properties with hotel-grade amenities. Their product provides an alternative to rental platforms like Airbnb, which currently suffer from issues around price transparency, overbearing hosts and an inconsistent guest experience. Dryfter's platform is vertically integrated, meaning that the homes are purchased, outfitted, and managed by a singular entity to provide a consistent and excellent guest experience every time. Properties are equipped with unique amenities like golf simulators, pickleball courts, co-working space, and more.

🚌 Student: Celine Schwesinger
Hey guys! My name is Celine Schwesinger. I wanted to use this opportunity to introduce myself. I will be organizing the Eagle Eye Newsletter within SSC Venture Studio.
I am a sophomore at BC studying operations, entrepreneurship, and computer science. My passions lie in cultivating innovation, creating impact, and thinking about what makes up the entrepreneurial mindset. Last spring, I launched my podcast, Creating the Path, sharing entrepreneurial stories featuring founders and educational episodes with professors. Over the summer, I studied abroad in Israel, the “Startup Nation.” We met with countless founders and incubator programs learning how Israel pursues innovation. On campus, I am involved in SSC Venture Studio as an analyst and Start@Shea as a mentor in the freshman innovator program. I am excited to learn more about the investing side and support BC student founders.
