Featured Startups
🚌 OceanFront Technologies
“This summer we started a SAFE funding round and, at this point, have raised $40,000 for the company. Not only have we raised money, but we've also raised awareness about what we are doing and now have a group of supporters that help build connections and help find the next investors. Our first prototype is nearing the first stages of completion, and the next steps include the pickup method and refinement.”

🚌 Ophelia
“Ophelia, a platform reviving the experience of in-person dating, has made significant strides this summer. The company officially partnered with Kured.co (Former BC startup, Founder Gilli Rozynek), Boston and NY’s famous charcuterie spot, to unlock the new location for all daters. Bo Brainerd, the Founder and CEO, also participated in SSC Ventures Summer Accelerator, focusing on product and software development. The Version 1.0 MVP is on track to launch by the end of the year (Q4) for Boston, which after sending nearly 200 couples on dates so far, is making it possible for thousands of others to go on dates to their favorite restaurants, bars, sports centers, concerts, and more.”

🚌 Grubswap
"GrubSwap is a platform that redefines the college food delivery experience, promising campus food delivery in half the time and half the price of typical delivery services. Created by students, for students, GrubSwap capitalizes on the surplus of unspent dining dollars at many universities around the country to offer meals at significantly lower prices than other delivery apps. No more exorbitant fees, no more hour-long delivery times, and no more watching your driver end up at Welch instead of Walsh. With over 200 users, GrubSwap was accepted into the SSC Summer Accelerator and received funding and mentorship from 30+ BC alumni. Apply to join the beta today."
